Same as the mantra repeated by the rebel Undergrounders to rally against the Skeleton King's tyrannical rule. But for estranged sisters, Threyna and Laela, forced unity might be even more disastrous. The passing of time has not dulled Threyna's pain. On the eve of the Battle of the Cut, she lost everything. Her father never returned, presumed dead or worse. Her mother and half sister abandoned her in their hopes of finding a way beyond the curse with the Wraith. Now, ten years in the Underground's legions have sharpened Threyna into a weapon capable of ending the Skeleton King's weakening rule. Despite her fervor and the cursed blood magic at her disposal, she will need allies if she is to defeat the Order's tyrant. Laela has spent the better part of the last decade preparing the Wraith for a mass exodus from Rheynia's cursed shores. After forsaking the Underground's wasted dreams of overthrowing the Order, Laela has afforded herself well as the bodyguard to the Wraith's brilliant leader. But while her skill at arms has kept her and hers amongst the living, it will take more than cunning and a sharp blade to circumvent the Order and the Underground in their flight to freedom. Now, once again reunited, with legionaries bearing down on them, the undying impeding their every step, and a cursed magical artifact with the power to either secure victory or give rise to a new tyrant, the two sisters must overcome their painful past. Yet whether they fight or flee, they must do so together, because divided, ruin will reign.
